Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Job duties include the following, but are not limited to –

  • Directly Oversee the Office/HR Manager
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/annual P&L Statements to key decision makers
  • Approve Check Runs and Payroll biweekly
  • Reconcile Credit Card Statements monthly
  • Provide Cost of Goods Sold Analysis for top performing brands/packages
  • Prepare Excise Tax and sales tax returns monthly/quarterly
  •  Prepare CRV work-papers annually
  • Review and maintain the company’s various insurance policies (General/Health/Workers Comp)
  • Prepare Monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Post monthly journal entries to import sales data from Fresno and Merced Taprooms
  • Prepare monthly general ledger close
  • Oversee supplier payments, invoices, and billbacks
  • Oversee Payroll Reporting (W-2's, tax returns, etc.)
  • Prepare 1099’s and 1096’s annually
  • One precent for the planet certification and maintenance
  • Contract/License Review and Analysis
  • Various Other Regulatory Reporting


  •  3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
  • Public accounting experience is preferred but not required
  • CPA License is preferred but not required

Position: Full-Time
Salary Range: $20-$23/hour depending on experience

Tioga-Sequoia Founded in 2007 in Fresno, CA. Our brewery has had a mission to brew world
class beers and bring awareness and resources to preserving our backyard, part of the Southern
Sierra Nevada Mountains in California. Since then, we have also been able to create a
community brand that has acted as a culture hub and advocate for growth of the craft beer
community in Central California.

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Head Brewer, the Brewer will be involved in all aspects of working in
a production facility including wort production, fermentation, filtration/transfers, and yeast
management. This is a mentally and physically intensive position that requires exceptional
motivation and excellent professionalism in the face of a demanding and fast-paced production

Expectations of the position, but not limited to:

  • Ingredient handling and measurement
  • Brew wort on a 30bbl single infusion mash Brewhouse
  • Fermentation monitoring and documentation
  • Dry hopping
  • CIP/SIP of all brewery and cellar vessels
  • Transfer / Rack / filter beer in progress
  • Equipment maintenance
  • Facilities maintenance (cleaning of floors, surfaces, and common areas)


  • Commercial brewery experience preferred, but willing to train the right person with less
  • Knowledge of the brewing processes, science, and quality control measures
  • Ability to work with others and receive constructive criticism and feedback
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail

Job Title: Merced Taproom Retail Staff
Position: Part-Time
Salary Range: $16/hour plus tips

The Taproom Retail Staff Member is a team-oriented individual who represents Tioga-Sequoia
Brewing Company. Team members are responsible for creating a welcoming environment for TS
customers by providing industry leading service. This is accomplished with a customer oriented
approach to the Taproom experience and being passionate about TS products. This position will
work directly with the General Manager and/or Assistant Manager.

Expectations and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Understand and maintain a working knowledge of all company and taproom policies and
  • Providing excellent customer service, ensuring that all TS customers have the BEST
    possible experience
  • Responsible for helping open/close of on-site retail operations; setting up the next team
    for success
  • Ensure Taproom cleanliness and standards are maintained throughout the shift.
  • Able to speak enthusiastically and knowledgeably to answer customer questions, as
    needed, on TS beer, retail items and events
  • Pour beer flight samplers, pints, glasses, crowlers and growlers for guests and in assisting
    other bartenders.
  • Proper handling of cash/credit transactions through Square Point of Sale system
  • Working with MOD to apply appropriate discounts for guests when needed (ie.
    Industry/Employee) as well as addressing any corrections in the POS system quickly and
  • Working with ASM or GM in closing out employee and guest tabs nightly
  • Assists the team with keeping a very clean and well organized working environment.
  • Assisting the team in regards to side tasks, opening and closing checklists such as: hourly bathroom checks, routine trash rounds, bussing tables, dishware maintenance, etc.
  • Keeps Taproom beer and merchandise organized and stocked in-store and in coolers and reports any shortages to Taproom Leads and Senior Management. Changing kegs, as needed, and staging back-up kegs
  • Check identification of guests in order to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
  • Discuss any issues, concerns, or positive/constructive feedback from guests with members of Senior Management
  • Participate in Team Discussions via Group Chat


  • Team player with excellent communication skills and a positive attitude with an
    excitement for craft beer
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Consistently stand for the duration of a shift while also bending, squatting, twisting,
    reaching and lifting up to 55 pounds.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a team environment to ensure a smooth,
    successful and positive working environment.
  • Ability to take and pass a drug and background check.
  • Basic math skills, ability to use Square POS software, ability to operate a computer
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Great organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks and multi-task.
  • Genuine interest in craft beer and passion for the hospitality industry.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be RSB certified within 90 days of hire
